When mixed with chloropicrin, 1,3-Dichloropropene serves as a soil fumigant. Additionally, it is used as a chemical reagent and solvent. Before planting crops, it can be applied to treat soil and prevent various nematodes, including root-knot nematode, stubby-root nematode, cyst nematode, and other underground pests.
